As 2021 draws to a close, we inevitably pause to look back over the year to see how we’ve fared and how the market has reacted and responded to the impact of the last 2 years.

Self-reflection

It is important to take time for self-reflection whether as an individual or as a business. Pausing to take stock from time to time ensures that we don’t get lost in the minutiae or bound up in an endless succession of daily tasks that detract from making the bigger decisions. Standing back and looking at the bigger picture is vital, and that awareness is what keeps MIH on its toes and makes sure that we stay focused and on track.

Staying on the leading edge

Like most business sectors, there are aspects at the core of the business that remain the same year in, year out, and aspects that change rapidly or are continually evolving.

To keep squarely abreast of the marketplace, we look to adjudicators and governing bodies such as RICS and ARMA to keep up to speed with the detail, the legalities, and policies. What we know, we can usefully pass on. Our experience and knowledge is what gives us the edge. We’re proactive in all that we do and this is an example of just that behaviour.

Benchmarking

We want to be the best at what we do, so we look for input, feedback and for better ways to do things. Our ears are open and we are receptive to comments and suggestions. What our client’s say about us matters deeply to us. So their response in the form of written and public reviews, is a genuine endorsement of our ethos and services.

Commercial Property Management

We own a commercial unit as part of the MyBase properties located on 130 Webber Street. MIH were appointed in late 2018. Since their appointment we have found that they are responsive, efficient, professional and always try and assist in problem resolving. Clearly they have been handed a tough task after a string of useless agents whose service was neglectful to say the least. It is a massive difference compared to old agents who have never shown the level of care and interest shown by MIH.

Simply the worst company I’ve ever had to deal with.Sarah Fisher and her team will go out of... their way to make your life miserable and attempt to rip you off. The issues I encountered included: unauthorised expenses, opaque tender processes to crony service providers, unauthorised hiring of a building caretaker (saddling us with massive legal risk in the process!), terrible reporting with zero transparency, collusion with favoured directors on the board, calls/messages that go unanswered for weeks, gorging on opaque commission kickbacks from shady insurance deals, “sundry expenses” totalling many £k per year etc etc.If you want a service company that’ll bleed you dry and charge you for a £500 Christmas tree that nobody asked for then MIH is your bet. All sins were justified by claiming to operate a “luxury service” which couldn’t have been further from reality.Our replacement managing agents operate the building on a budget just 35% of what MIH typically spent and to a much higher standard to boot. Good riddance to MIH!read more

MIH are an excellent property management agent. During over 10 years owning a leasehold property in... London I have experienced a number of management agents and MIH are by far the best. Our property has been effected by the cladding issue in London and over a period of 5 or more years they have done a fantastic job managing the cladding replacement project. The others simply regurgitated rules, made no effort to provide useful “advice", and seemed mainly concerned with maximising their own fees.
