MIH’s role
We took over this property in mid-August 2020 after one of the overseas owners found us on Google via our reviews. We immediately arranged for the locks to be changed, a Fixed Wiring Test, Energy Performance Certificate, new data installations and insurance. We also dealt with a particularly nasty pigeon problem.

At the same time, we reached out to our commercial agency contacts to find alternative quotes for the letting of the property.

Getting the best return on investment
Given the economic climate at the time, we took the letting of the ground floor offices especially seriously. We wanted our new clients to be assured of our best intentions and how this plays out in our action – managing costs and making sure they get the best return on their investment. In this case, ensuring income was paramount as they were out of pocket due to their last tenant being in arrears with their rent.

Having carefully chosen agents we had an offer on the property within four weeks of it going online. Although we set our own bar high with getting properties rented shortly after handover, we were astounded at how quickly we turned this around in a depressed market.
